Independence Day, November 3, 1903 (from Colombia) - Dia de la Independencia Independence Day, November 28 (from Spain) Martyr's Day, January 9 - Dia de los Martires Day of the Dead, November 2 - Dia de los Difuntos Flag Day, November 4 - Dia de la Bandera All major Christian holidays are also celebrated, i.e. Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, etc... *Holidays in the Republic of Panama are divided into two categories. The first, Days of National Mourning, include Good Friday and Martyr's Day. The second, Days of National Holiday, includes all others. National holidays are governed by Article 46 of the Labor Code (as ammended).
There is no such thing as Thanksgiving in Panama. It's just not a part of Panama's history. The Indians from North America didn't help the whites from Europe find food in Panama. If that was the case Panama would be called America. Just because The USA celebrates a holiday, it doesn't mean every country celebrates that holiday.
