Pagan festivals are like the festivals for any other religion or even any community of people. They consist of a community-wide celebration and there is often music, dancing, games and good food. They are often organized on a yearly basis. Religious festivals they have special customs associated with them involving ritual and worship. This question was placed in the category "Christmas" so it may be worth pointing out that the Christian festival of Christmas often is celebrated with features of the older pagan religions in the same area, such as keep a fire going all night to "help" the sun get through the long night of the winter solstice; and bringing in green leaves and branches from the outside, such as holly, ivy and pine branches.

There are many. It really depends on the religion, and focus of the particular group. However, many Wiccans and other Pagans observe four to eight seasonal holidays, stemmed from Celtic society. (Most historians believe that the Celts did not actually celebrate all eight, though.) These also have varying names depending on the Tradition. They are (in no particular order): Samhain, Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Lammas, Litha (aka Midsummer or Summer Soltice), and Mabon. These eight holidays are the set of Pagan Holidays that are most commonly accepted by modern Western Pagans, and they are often termed as "The Eight Sabbats" or "The Wheel of The Year." *I also admit that this is not an inclusive answer. But I would suggest that you go to your library and look for a book on Pagan religions and also look for a book on Primal religions, as well. Many Pagan customs have evolved from Primal religions.

When did Dec 25 become the birthday of the Son of God?

There are varying accounts of when December 25th became the birthday of the Christ. According to Catholic online, in 336 A.D., the church in Rome decided on the date and made it an official "feast day". According to christianity .com, the first recorded celebration was in 354. It seems that by the 3rd century, the beginning of merging of the pagan Saturnalia celebration (in honor of the pagan god Saturn) into Christmas had begun. In addition to the Saturnalia, December 25 was also celebrated as the birth date of the pagan god Tammuz. Before long, the church could see that by importing this celebration into Christianity, they could gain large number of new members.

How does Easter and paganism relate?

While the observance of the death and resurrection of Jesus and paganism do not relate, Easter is held at the same time as the pagan celebration of Eastre, a pagan celebration to the goddess Eastre. Also, some of the traditions of Easter arose from pagan practices. One example is the Easter bunny. Rabbits and hares were symbols of fertility in the pagan rituals and actually have nothing to do with Christianity.
