Palindromes
A palindrome is a sentence, phrase, name or number that reads the same forwards as it does backwards. The famous palindromic sentence Able was I ere I saw Elba is attributed to Napoleon and refers to his exile on the isle of Elba but was not actually spoken by him. Anna and Otto are palindromic names, and 12321 is a palindromic number.
See the lyrics to Weird Al Yankovic's song, "Bob," for many examples.
