All of the major manufacturers build good point and shoot cameras. Choose a Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Sony or similar brand that has the features you need. Don't get carried away by MP count. In inexpensive cameras, believe it or not, lower counts tend to give better results, all else being equal. MP count is largely marketing.
You should be able to find a good little point and shoot camera for well under $150.
