What is a political camp in the Holocaust?

Answer:
Early camps were meant to imprison political prisoners. People who did not fit Hitler's propaganda. They were built long before WW2, as early as 1933. Many prisoners were German, gypsies, Communists, homosexuals etc.
Rounding up Jews came later and it wasn't political anymore.
The mass extermination started between 1942-43.
