What is a princess?

Answer:

a princess is a girl who is a person of royalty and is respectful. She is kind, giving and caring to her family and relitives.

A princess is the daughter of royalty (a king, queen, prince, or princess).
Typically, princess are the daughters of kings and queens. However, if that princess has a daughter while her parents are still alive, that grand child is still called "princess".
Now, here's the real kicker. Let's say that the king and queen have 8 children. The eldest or most favored is likely to become the next king or queen. When the monarchs pass on, that child is the new monarch and inherits the title of king or queen. The other 7 children will retain the titles of prince or princess. Following so far?
Child 1 = King/Queen
Children 2 - 8 = Prince/Princess
The daughter of the new king or queen will have the title princess bestowed upon her. The children of the king/queen's siblings will not have any royal titles, UNLESS, one of them assumes the throne.
