Hmmm. I'd go check out my link. Grab a Toll House (or whatever bag of Chocolate Chips you prefer) and follow some of the tips I've learned over the years. It's not what you put in it, but what you do with those ingredients. Chocolate Chip Cookies are by far my favorite. Hope the link helps!

Answer

Chocolate chip cookies are really very simple to make. If you are looking for any recipes go to: www.allrecipes.com and you can find tons of awesome recipes. If they don't have what you are looking for go to: www.google.ca and type in recipe for chocolate chip cookie. You'd be amazed how many different sites come up.

Here's a better recipe that I know of actually for work. Preheat the oven to 350°F, then get your ingredients together:

  • 1 cup of butter flavored shortening
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of white sugar
  • 2 eggs, 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 2 cups of Milk Chocolate chips
The next thing you need to do is grease about to cookie sheets (recipe makes 24 cookies). In a large bowl, cream together the butter flavored shortening, the brown sugar and the white sugar until light and fluffy. Then you need to add the eggs one @ a time beating well with each addition. Then add the vanilla extract. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt, gradually stirring into the mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared cookies sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes. Voilà! You have cookies!

What you need

  • 280g of flour (2 1/4 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 250g of butter at room temperature (1 cup)
  • 165g brown sugar (3/4 cup)
  • 150g granulated sugae (3/4 cup)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Between 165-300g of chocolate chips (1 or 2 cups)

How to make them

  • Preheat oven to 190oC (375oF). Grease a couple baking trays (or use a baking sheet)
  • Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a medium bowl (sift through a sieve to remove clumps). Mix them together
  • In another large bowl, beat the butter and sugars together. Then add the eggs and vanilla, beat again (when done properly in this order, the sugar will break down the butter)
  • Carefully mix the contenst of the medium bowl (with the four in it) into the larger bowl. Stir a little. Add chocolate chips, stir again
  • Scoop one tablespoon of the mixture onto the baking tray. Repeat until all the mixture is gone. Leave a 1 inch gap between cookies, because they will expand while baking. If preferred, you could instead roll a tablespoon or two of the mixture into a ball and place on the tray
  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven, allow to cool for 3 minutes
  • Use a spatula to lift the cookies off the tray. Place them on wax paper or a cooking rack for 5 minutes
  • Either eat after 5 minutes to enjoy them warn and creamy. Or when completely cooled for a crisp, crunchy bite.

If you like, you can add 110 grams of cocoa powder into the four mix stage, for double chocolate chip cookies.

There are many other variations you can try.

A great recipe;

Makes 26-28 Large cookies

220g butter

160g brown sugar

110g caster sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

300g plain flour

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

1/2 tsp salt

250 g choco chips or chocolate chopped into chunks.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C

beat he butter and sugars together until smooth.add the eggs and vanilla extract and keep beating until really mixed in.

Sift the flour , bicarbonate of soda and salt together and stir into mix until just combined.Add chocolate into into mix and stir thoroughly.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets bout 5cm apart.Bake for 10-12 mins until the centres are still soft. They will look underdone but will harden over an hour or so.The secret is to not overcook them.

Allow them to cool down for about 2 mins.

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days , but i don' think they would last long if you like cookies!
