3 oz softened Cream Cheese
2 cups Powdered. Sugar
1 Tbs Butter
Blend together until smooth. Apply to warm, not hot dessert for best glazing results.
1.Mix cream cheese with milk,
2.Freeze
3.Then spread on cake
4 Then freeze cake
5. EAT

this works with any icing, all you have to do is add a bit of cream cheese.
In theory if you add any flavouring to the milk it will result in a flavoured cheese. You can get strawberry flavoured goat's cheese so perhaps chocolate will be next.
If you want a thick icing, take some Cream Cheese, Vanilla Extract, and Sugar. Delicious thick cream cheese frosting. Or you can take some powdered sugar and water for a thin glaze. There are hundreds of types of icing. I suggest you do an internet search for the type you are interested in and see what recipes you find.
Do you mean what is icing for a cake? Well basically to make icing from scrath you start off the same no matter what you make cake, cookies... etc butter and powered suger you have to make it be the consistency you want also add some Vanilla you made add some butter if you wish. If you would like chocolate just add chocolate now other icing like cream cheese I have no idea.
