What is a scat'er?

[Edit]
The art of scat was popular in the 1940's. Ella Fitzgerald is a famous singer who scatted. Cab Calloway was another. Scat is following the musical form of an instrument with your voice, repeating the notes with notes to sound like that instrument. It is not sung, but rather imitating the instrument with your voice. A scat'er is an accomplished singer who can literally imiatate a trumpet by singing.
