What is a search engine?

Answer

A search engine is a site that lets you search the entire internet for a web site on the topic that you are interested in. Like a card catalog in a library. For example, if you're looking for a 60 GB iPod Photo, you could type this into a search engine: 60 GB iPod Photo It would take you to this page: http://www.google.com/search?q=60GB+ipod+photo

I've put a few of the most popular search engines on the related links down the right side of the page.
