It really depends upon the condition. You can get a coin book which will give you a ballpark estimate or go to a coin shop. Or go to online coin buy/sell sites and see what they are asking. Answer If it is a copper-nickel clad circulation strike, it's worth a dollar. If it is one of the silver proof or uncirculated coins with an S mint mark and still in the original government package, it is about $10.

None of the Eisenhower dollars struck for general circulation have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums.

It is worth more than a dollar if in mint condition even if it isn't a proof or from the mint. Coins from the mint are 40 percent silver in that year so yes they are worth more but that doesn't make the non-proof ones worthless. About 2-4 bucks is what a non proof is worth depending on condition and if the have a rainbow luster from age which collectors love even more. A proof one is worth about 9 bucks more if its got that rainbow luster.
