I have the same exact problem. You think it's a canker sore but it's not a bump filled with white pus. It's a tiny hole in your gum and it stings if you touch it with your toungue or if you eat something acidic. I have once in a very long while, probably no more than once every 4-5 months. I've been tryinnng to find out what it is but the only thing closest to it is canker sore.
AnswerAlso it's usually gone by a week or less than that.Have a look at this question on Yahoo! Answers where there's a picture provided. Is that what your hole looks like? (pin-sized with a white/yellowish diameter?) If so, then it's probably a mouth ulcer. Quite common and usually goes away on its own.

No. Removal of teeth by a dentist should not hurt. Your dentist will numb your gums with a topical solution, which is rubbed on the gums with a cotton swab, and then give you injections in the area of the tooth to be removed. This is the same procedure that the dentist uses to numb your gums before filling a cavity. As the anesthetic wears off after the removal, you may feel some discomfort, but it is unlikely that you will feel pain. Your dentist can prescribe medication for pain if he thinks you will need it. On the other hand, if you tried to remove the tooth by yourself, then yes, that would hurt.

I used to do that all the time and it's quite fun but it can be bad for your cheekbone and gums #1 it stretches your gums which can make them tear #2 it rubs your gums hard up against your cheekbone which could push it out of place #3 it can give your gum rashes and canker sores if done to often

Sounds like thrush
Although I am not a doctor, I always thought that blood clots coming out of gums result from congested blood in the gums. I think if gums are massaged then blood will be circulated and extra congested blood will go away. Sees this should be a frequent task and not a one-time every once and while. Shingles of the gums is a very painful condition and many professionals don't even know it exits as I found out today at my Dr's office. The nurse practitioner told me, after I told her that I thought I have Shingles of the Gums, that you can't get Shingles of the gums.
