There are thousands of people at WikiAnswers willing to help you out. However, just giving you test or homework answers wouldn't be helping you at all. It would actually be cheating and that is not what the site is all about.

It always helps to search for a third party website (like this one) that can help explain the material.

If you would like some tips or help getting through your homework, there is a category just for this.

Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809. His parents were a poor actor and actress by the names of Elizabeth Arnold Hopkins Poe and David Poe Jr. His father left the family before his younger sister was born. His mother died of tuberculosis just shy of his third birthday. His father died shortly thereafter. From there he was taken into the home of John and Frances Allan. Though they took him in as their own he was never fully adopted. Poe was taken to England to be taught in The Manor House School in Stoke Newington (a private school). It was very hard on him for he was very close to Frances Allan, his foster mother. Poe was then sent to the University of Virginia in 1826. There he studied French, Spanish, Italian, and Latin. One of Poe's many habits were Drinking and Gambling. He got into trouble many times for his debts grew and grew to about $2000. Because Poe had no money, he had to leave school. Instead he decided to join the army under the name Edgar A. Perry. But that never lasted and he quit shortly after. Years later, Poe made his way to Richmond and met a woman by the name Maria Clemm (David Poes sister) who was recently widowed. She willingly brought him into her house and soon after, Poe fell in love with her daughter Virginia. Within a year, they were married. Years go by and Poe is finally getting popular after probably one of his greatest poems, "The Raven", and sadly, after years of marriage, Virginia dies. Poe is in grief, and shortly after try's to rebuild his love life by having a short affair with a woman by the name of Sarah Helen Whitman. But soon gets a job for being a New York newspaper editor. But on the way, Poe gets mixed up with some citizens of Baltimore who trick him into trying "Baltimore Lemonade". (5% Lemon, 95% Vodka) After having 9 shots of it, Poe falls into a coma for three days. On the third day Poe woke up screaming "MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON MY POOR SOUL!" and died on October 7, 1849.
