A threatened habitat is one that is changing or disappearing so that the organisms that rely on it will be threatened by loss of suitable places to live. The term is most often used to refer to human activity disruping the environment. Examples are the clearing of forests, pouring chemicals into the ocean or turning savanna into farmland.
