A transitional living facility is a temporary living facility for anyone one who is homeless. Transitional living varies by program and facility. Some are dormitiory, some are rooms some have small apartments or even shared houses. They serve the homeless, mentally ill, those leaving prison or another facility. The length of stay and services provided vary by program. Some transitional living facilities are simply shared hosues with minimal supervision. Others provide meals, medical care employment assistance case management, etc.
