its like if you have somthiing wrong with you or if your pregnat you get them done it doesnt hurt at all they just put jell on your stomac nd rub wit theis thing and it shows the in side of your stomach :)

And ultrasound is where they put some jelly-like liquid over your belly and then put a hand-held scanner over it and you can see the baby on the screen. It isn't painful for the mother or the baby.
