A book generally for kids-teens grade 1-12 of every students picture in that school. You can also sign your signatures inside the yearbook. Lately, it also is the term many publications use for a yearly issue that reviews some notable things they have covered in the past year. All the main events of the year are published in the yearbook. It is basically a book of memories that you get at the end of the schoolyear

Do you mean the class or the actually book?

I am editor and chief of my school newspaper, and the uses of the class are:

  • Learn skills in Photography
  • SKills in journalism
  • Skills in page design
  • People skills (Yes, you have to talk to people to interview them)
  • Art skills
  • You get a better eye for good design
  • Interaction with people who like the same things as you do
  • If you want to be an author, photographer, journalist, newspaper journalist etc... this class looks GREAT on college applications adn Job Applications.

For the actually book, it is useful to:

  • Remember all the good times you had
  • Laugh at how hairstyles/styles have changed
  • See how your "cute" boyfriend turned ugly.
  • Remember your best firends adn what they looked like
  • Smile when you read all your pals' signatures
  • When you are first signing them, you may get up the courage to ask your crush to sign your book, or someone may ask you.
  • Face it; they bring smiles and happiness to a dull, dull year!!!

Does that answer your question?

They're great to have. It's awesome to look back and see things from your past. When you're older it really has a sentimental value to it. Plus by the time your kids look at it, they can make fun of our style and how 'old' it looks to them!
