Having someone else do your assignment(s) (whether by compensation, coercion, exchange or any other means) and turning it in as your own work. Cheating, copying, and plagiarism are also academic dishonesty.

2. Other forms of academic and scientific dishonesty include:

• Altering, distorting or faking results from experiments, surveys, interviews and the like.
• Giving bogus sources.
• Misrepresenting sources, information or knowledge.
• Knowingly ignoring evidence that runs counter to the point(s) that you make.
• Knowingly citing untrustworthy evidence as if it were reliable - for example, knowingly using unreliable statistics that suit your case.
• Shifting or alterating the burden of proof in a way that runs counter to accepted rules, for example, by demanding absolute proof (other than in mathematical theorems).

Academic honesty means the use of one's own thoughts and materials in the writing of papers, taking of tests, and other classroom related activities. Students intentionally aiding other students in any infraction of the academic honesty policy are considered equally guilty.

Students are expected to give full credit for the borrowing of other's words or ideas. Intentional or unintentional use of another's words or ideas without acknowledging this use constitutes plagiarism.
