Aerial photography is the act of taking photographs from an elevated position, often a non ground based structure from a which can be acquired by, but not limited to; an Airplane, Helicopter, Remote Controlled Aerial Vehicle, Rocket, Parachute, Hot Air Balloon and much more.

This is not to be confused with Air to Air Photography in which Aircraft are the subject and the platform.
