A heuristic computer virus is a virus/program that is capable of learning while running in parallel with other computer systems on a system which it is on. For example having really good anti virus detection software running along with say five or six different other programme's virus can learn passwords usernames. It can also run in parallel to systems that are heavily coded.Learning enough about the programme's codes until it can break through them. This virus can also take control of computer system's example from one that i know of is a heuristic virus hacking its way onto one of my friends computers. And in roughly one and a half weeks had all of his data files etc at its use and sent them to some place over seas.
There is currently only one way to get rid of a heuristic computer virus. And it is by purging everything that you have on your computer and i mean everything. But make sure you have back ups of all your computer data before doing so or before you happened to get the virus.
Unlike signature-based virus scanners, antivirus software that employs heuristics monitors the computer system for any virus-like activity, such as modifications to an executable, permission to write to memory, and other signs.
Heuristic virus detection is a fancy way of a scanner saying, "I'm guessing that is a virus".
it might be a false positive.
There is no Abbreviation of VIRUS. Its an Latin word which means "toxin or poison". Plz search for Virus in google search engine for more details.
No it cannot because a virus affects the process of a computer. if the computer is off there are no processes. but the computer will still have a virus.... use anti- virus programs to be rid of it.
There are many ways one can remove a trojan virus from one's computer. One can remove a trojan virus from their computer by downloading a virus removal software such as Sophos.
It just means deliberately releasing/spreading a computer virus.
Creating a computer virus is unethical because viruses do things on people's computer's without their permission. Creating and distributing a computer virus would be like using their computer without their consent. Also, depending on what the computer virus does, you could incur a number of other ethical problems - like stealing, harassment, etc.

Viruses and Trojans have signatures written for them. By this I mean, when a virus has been discovered, programmers will write a blocking code that is installed in the anti virus program. When you update your anti virus program this new "virus signature" will be recorded in your anti virus program. Then when the virus comes a calling, your anti virus program will recognize the virus and initiate the blocking code so the virus can not install itself in your system. So with out the signature of the virus, the virus can enter your computer. So updating your anti virus program daily is very important! Some of the top anti virus programs have a new Technology called Heuristic Technology. This Heuristic Technology dose not need the signature of a virus to block it. The way it works is Heuristic Technology looks for careerists of viruses and will block it just for looking unusual. This is the way of the future. Hackers are getting smarter, our defence must follow. If you care to read more you can on my site trojanhorseremoval.org
I think it does, I just played it the other day and Norton 360 detected a heuristic virus (I think thats how ts spelled) on to my computer not 100% sure if it was iSketch but still be carful
heuristic scanning
A heuristic approach can solve a problem without knowing the problem. Instead of having exact knowledge of the problem, a heuristic method classifies the problem through detection of characteristics and similarities with known problems. This classification can lead to the solution of a problem. For example, a tool that tries to detect and defend against computer viruses may not be aware of a new virus yet, but may be able to identify the fact that there is a virus by identifying certain characteristics and similarities to known viruses. The tool may then apply a solution (e.g. quarantine the affected data).
definition of a computer virus definition of a computer virus
Every computer could have a virus but if you use your computer carefully it can be impossible for the virus to come to your computer.
Scanning virus only help to find the virus inside your computer disks, but do no other actions, virus is still in your computer. But Removing virus not only find it, but also remove the virus from your computer. Thus no such virus will remain in your computer after that.
Virus-L and computer virus are discussions forums which focus on computer virus issues
back uses of computer virus
As with a biological virus, a computer virus could be serious or not so serious. It depends on what the virus is designed to do, what kind of anti-virus protection and virus vulnerabilities you have, and whether you have important information on your computer.
a computer virus can be made by any one who has read a book and has a computer. there are no special requirements to manufacture a virus.
