All plants are more or less adapted to their environment, but to give a specific example we take the cactus.

A CAM plant that closes it's stomata in the daylight to conserve moisture and opening the stomata at night to let CO2 in then, having spines to protect itself generally and specifically to protect itself from animals trying to get it's stored moisture. Small surface area of leaves to protect them from over exposure.
