What is an lan card?

Answer

A LAN (Local Area Network) card is a smaller electronic card that is placed in a PCI slot of the motherboard. This will allow you to connect your computer to a cable or DSL modem. Now-a-days these LAN ports are built right into the motherboard themselves....it was the older models that required the LAN card.
