An optical viewfinder is a separate aiming device for a camera, that is by definition fitted with its own lens or lenses, and which shows the photographer roughly the same field of view as the taking (or camera) lens. Some optical finders on zoom cameras will zoom with the taking lens. Most optical finders show a smaller percentage of what the taking lens "sees" so that there is a margin for error. Once, almost all cameras that were not reflex (that is, the finder image is projected from the camera lens) were fitted with optical viewfinders.
Many small digital cameras today have no optical viewfinder, using only the view screen instead, but while the view screen usually shows a nearly 100% accurate view of the scene, the screen may be partly or wholly obscured in very bright light. An optical viewfinder can be handy in such situations. If you're using a camera with only a view screen with the sun coming over your shoulder you may have found yourself wishing that you had an optical viewfinder.
There are other types of viewfinders, not all of them optical. Many older "press" type cameras such as the Graphics had a wire frame finder, often called the "press" finder, which just gave the photographer a rough aiming point, but which was very useful when the picture was fleeting. The big 4x5" press cameras had the advantage that a usable image could easily be cropped out the ample negative, so very accurate viewfinding was not always necessary.

Questions asked about optical illusions; 1: What are optical illusions? 2: What types of optical illusions are there? 3: What effects do optical illusions have on the brain 4: What causes optical illusions?
All mirages are optical illusions but all optical illusions are not mirages.
Optical art was not restricted to just one country. Optical artists were situated in America and the UK
Kerner Optical was created in 2006-08.
find him at the view finder
No. The Nikon Coolpix L810 has a 3 inch TFT-LCD screen which is used for composing images rather than a view finder.
Optical Energy, better known as Optical Power, is the converging strength of a lens. As an example a lens with a high Optical Power will have a wider range of view but less focal distance. A lens with low Optical Power will have a longer focal distance but less range of view.
That is correct, it is not an optical view finder, though that shouldn't bother you too much. Most cameras have a viewing area which is nearly 100% of the actual image be recorded; this however is not true for most optical view finders. Most view finders are substantially less than 100%, Maybe even closer to 90%. That's not very accurate for setting up a shot.
An optical microscope uses light and one or more lenses to view cells. An optical microscope with two or more lenses is called a compound optical microscope.
An optical telescope is the simplest instrument to view the heavens.

View finder A digital camera may have a viewfinder. If it does not have a screen on which it displays a "live view". (The Leica M9 has both)

An optical, and an electron microscope.
