The word "apostolic" actually means "Like the apostoles." So an apostolic church is one that preaches the messages that the apostles preached beginning at the day of Pentecost - Such as salvation by repentance, water baptism into the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the reception of the Holy Ghost as initially evidenced by the speaking in other tongues. (See Acts chapters 2, 8, 10, and 19). To find an Apostolic church in your area to learn more, visit www.aljc.org or www.upci.org.

The Beliefs of The Apostolic-Oneness Movement.

We believe the Godhead as One. That Jesus Christ is God all by himself. That He manifested in three ways:

  • The Father- Jehovah (Old Testament),
  • The Son- Manifested in the human flesh the Savior and Redeemer of Mankind,
  • And The Holy Ghost- the Spirit that was sent back on the Day of Pentecost- our Comforter.

We also belive that the Holy Bible is the: Infallible, Uncoruptable, True Word of the Living God.

We believe that Jesus was born of a Virgin.

We belive the Plan of Salvation:

  • That if you call on the name of Jesus you shall be saved. There is no other name given under Heaven whereby we must be saved.
  • That you must Repent and Be Baptied in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
  • That you have to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. (Acts 2:4)
  • That you must live a life of Holiness.
