Art
is a term used to refer either generally to the field of creative expression, or specifically to creative expressions within the media used in the plastic arts, e.g., sculpture or painting.
In general parlance, the latter meaning is the most common, and it is often a shorthand for work in two-dimensional visual media, such as painting, drawing or printmaking.
There are many formal schools of art and many historical movements, which can be characterised as an important aspect of a civlisation's dialogue with the world and the ways in which people within a culture have struggled to define themselves and/or break out of definitions. But this may make it sound too intellectual and dry, and though intellectual considerations are often very important in "the arts", sensuality and playfulness are very often equally, if not more important.
While great art is the product of great sophistication, talent and insight, unlike many complex cultural endeavours many artists have looked to radicalise their work by emulating art from primitive cultures or even children.
art is a form of self expression depicted by an abstract or vivid image of one's decree.
What is art has been a question that is infinitely un-answerable. Many people have provided theories ie: formalism. But there are always "flaws" found. Art is In essence whatever any individual perceives as art, for their personal reasons. It is subjective. Furthermore if it isn't art its kitsch.
