There a several speculations that the Lost City of Atlantis lies far under the surface at these coordinates. Due to an average depth of 1,226 meters, the region is largely unexplored and inaccessible to a majority of marine craft, and is thought to be placed there intentionally to allow for ease of access by alien spacecraft.

∙ 8y ago"Zero degrees longitude" refers to a line on the globe, not a single point. This line is also referred to as the Prime Meridian. The definition of where the Prime Meridian is located is basically arbitrary, but by international convention it is defined to run through Greenwich, England. It extends north and south to the geographical poles. Technically the answer to your question would have to be something like "there are lots of things along the line that is zero degrees longitude."
