The real truth
Berber is not a type or style of carpet. It refers to the little specs of another color or colors, called berber fleck
Berber can be either, cut pile, or loop pile construction.
Mostly found in loop pile construction, and over the years, loop pile carpets have been referred to as "berber" carpets, when in fact they my not be berber at all, but a solid color loop pile.
