MSN. I believe that because on MSN, they can ignore you, but you'll know that they're still there. Whereas, with texting, if they don't respond, there's tons of possibilities: there phone is off, they're doing something else, or the like. And with texting, you don't want to think that they're ignoring you. So, I'd go with MSN or AIM. Both are good.

I have the enV and it doesn't show any extra for using messenger. I think it either a) is considered unlimited texting (if you have it) or b) it might be free
