What is bisque? |
[Edit] |
Bisque is the stage of ceramics where the piece has been cleaned and fired but not painted. This stage is attractive with minimal decoration, but is less durable than glazed ceramics. The process of firing ceramic paint to make a glass coating makes the piece less susceptable to environmental damage.
