What is blogging?

A blog or web-log is a web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.
"Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

To blog can be like keeping an online diary of what is going on in your life for others to read. It can be quite personal, or done for more official purposes, like journalists writing about their experiences while on a particular job. Someone doing an expedition might report back to friends or sponsors on what they have been doing and progress they are making. Other people may just be able to read or in some cases, be able to respond or put up comments on the blog.
