Botulism is a food poisoning caused by foods that were canned or preserved.If the food was not cooked at very high temperatures to kill the germs a bacteria called clostridium botulinum could cause botulism. The people who eat the food can't see,smell or taste the toxin. The toxin travels through the blood and affects the muscles. The person who eats the contaminated food can get sick 6 to 8 hours after eating it. Botulism stops muscles from working.You will have difficulty swallowing,speaking,breathing, and may have droopy eyelids and blurred vision.
