What is deutsches reich?In: Stamps

What looks like an "f" is really an old-fashioned way of writing the letter S.
The term Deutsches Reich is German for "German Kingdom". It was used to identify the country under the Kaisers (emperors) and was appropriated by the Nazis to describe the power of their dictatorship. When Germany became a republic after their defeat, the country was renamed as the Bundesrepublik Deutschland, or The Federal Republic of Germany.
If you see it on a coin that means the coin was struck before the end of WW2.
