Whereas an idealist has pride, a politician has prejudice. Naipaul says that politicians are prejudiced because they have to take one view or the other in keeping with the political party interest. Whereas Anna is an idealist, Advani is a politician. But pride and prejudice are the traits in the same person according to Jane Austin. Gandhi had both pride and prejudice against the British. Probably, the parliamentary democracy separates the two traits in real life. Nevertheless in Britain Monarchical system and Democratic system together merge the two beautifully.
