The difference between sublimation and evaporization is:

Sublimation is the transformation from a solid to a gas while temperature rises.

Evaporation is the transformation of a liquid to a gas while heating up.

Dry ice is a good example of a solid that will sublimate. It is made of frozen carbon di-oxide. Water is a good example of a liquid that evaporates. Dry ice creates a cloud like vapor that dissapates quickly the warmer the atmosphere is. The clouds you see are the product of water evaporated and then condensed in our atmosphere.

The molar heats of sublimation and fusion of iodine are 62.3kjmol and 15.3kjmol respectively calculate the molar heat of vaporization of liquid iodide?

It is a known fact : Molar heat of sublimation = molar heat of fusion + molar heat of vaporization so, molar heat of vaporization = molar heat of sublimation - molar heat of fusion Mv = 62.3 kJ/mol - 15.3 kJ/mol Mv = 47 kJ/mol.

Explain the difference between atomic fission and atomic fusion?

The main difference between these two processes is that fission is the splitting of an atom into two or more smaller ones while fusion is the fusing of two or more smaller atoms into a larger one.

What is the difference between the use of fission and fusion as an energy source?

Well, the difference is that when you get fusion it turns into fission. So really all your doing is using fissions. But, the difference to them is that when you use fission it produces a light that can be used. When you use fusion it can not be used as a light \, but just to make tatter tots. I like tatter tots do you?

Q - What is the difference between latent heat of fusion and latent heat of solidfication?

They are the same thing. Fusion and solidification both mean the changing of a liquid to a solid.
