I would like to add a note to the answer above: Technically, a thrombosis is a clot or blockage, and a coronary thrombosis is a clot affecting the heart -- but a heart attack is not the same thing, and is technically myocardial infarction. The clot usually, but does not always result in heart attack. Same with the cerebral thrombosis -- it is technically a clot that can cause a stroke. To me, the difference between a cerebral and coronary thrombosis is the location of the clot.
