they are both the same i think i love llamas
Most llamas don't need a lot of work
A llama is very smart and independent, gentle, calm and very easy to take care of. the allow little childern to interact with them :D
Get your standard toaster oven. Plug it into your radio. And that's how you get to Llama school
Alpacas can be harnessed and led with a rope attached to the harness. Catching an untrained alpaca can be difficult, so they are often herded into a small area where they can be caught and harnessed. Handling them for specific tasks like walking up into a trailer or having their toenails clipped involves lots of patient training (or impatient manhandling).
donkeys
Alpacas, my dad had an alpaca when he was in Peru. Plus they don't spit as much as llamas do.
no they need the same amount of care!
fresh water fish
They last longer and easier to take care of.
for me its the same.
I think that you can be any age IFYou are a very responsible person and everyone around you knows that. You have all the finances that you should ever need. You are willing to learn and learn as much as you can before you buy one.You have plenty of space and good grass and a dependable hay and grain source.I have a friend with a llama farm and she just sold a baby alpaca to a little kid who is 6 or 8 (I don't remember) and he works for his Dad doing all kinds of hay work and earned enough to buy this little alpaca and take care of it. But the plus is that they live on a farm and they already had two other llamas, so I'm sure that he was helped out by his parents, but he is a very responsible kid, and he has earned his reward for that.
I like cats because they are easier to take care of.
