It means if you multiply or divide the mass by any number, the force gets multiplied or divided

by the same number.

double the mass ---> double the force

79 times the mass ---> 79 times the force

62 percent of the mass ---> 62 percent of the force

one-tenth of the mass ---> one-tenth of the force

quite few things are.

work is proportional to force.

with displacement to remain the same, if you increase magnitude of the force, the work done by this force will increase as well.

as newton's second law suggests f is also proportional to the mass and its acceleration.

you are pushing a table that weighs 100 kg with 2 m/s2 a (constant).

if you wanna speed up, you must increase your pushing force. {neglect frictions)

if you wanna carry two table one on another (which makes you a 200kg weight) with the same acceleration (2m/s2), you must double your pushing force. (neglect frictions)

and most interestingly there's an essential thing epitomizing this phenomena :

the frictional force. yes! the frictional force always opposes to the direction of the force and it increases by the time the force increases.

It means that more force will cause more acceleration. More specifically, they are directly related: twice the force will cause twice the acceleration.

Force is directly proportional to mass provided the acceleration is constant.

How force affects mass and acceleration?

force is directly proportional to acceleration and acceleration is inversely proportional to mass of the body

The gravitational force is proportional to?

Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation states that the force of gravity directly proportional to product of the two masses&inversely proportional to square of the distance between them

What is the relation ship between mass distance and gravitational force?

For two masses, m1 and m2, the gravitational force is proportional to m1, it is proportional to m2, and it is inversely proportional to the square of the disdtnace.

When acceleration is held constant and objects of different mass are observed are mass and force directly proportional or inversely proportional?

directly proportional because force=(mass)(acceleration) (f=ma)

Does The Law of Applied Force state that a body's change in mass is proportional to the amount of force applied to it?

The Law of Applied Force states that a body's change in mass is proportional to the amount of force applied to it.

Is force proportional to distance?

This depends on the type of force. The force of gravity, for example, is inversely proportional to the SQUARE of the distance between the two bodies. On the other hand, the force exerted by a lever is directly proportional to the distance from the fulcrum. You should repost your question with a little more detail. What forces, and where?

The amount of acceleration is directly proportional to the force and inversely proportional to the mass?

Yes, that is correct.

What is the rule for the force of gravity?

The force of gravity is directly proportional to the product of the mass of the two objects ,between whom the force is acting , and inversely proportional to square of distance between them.
