Most likely its your ram. It probably has a bad stick of ram. To fix it, take out all your ram except for one stick (some systems require 2 to be in it to start up). At the Dell screen you probably can hit F12 for boot options. Once that comes up look for pre-boot assistant or something similar (PSA or PSA+, etc). It'll do a memory test. If it fails then that stick is bad. HOWEVER, try another stick(s) in that same slot(s) to see if it still fails. If a second fails and you have a third it doesn't hurt to put a third in. If all fail then your motherboard's ram slot is bad and is unfixable unless you put in a new motherboard. However, you can probably just use the other ram slots and just not use this one for awhile. It has been my experience that if one ram slot is bad then the others will follow eventually (but maybe not).
Now, if you identify a bad stick of ram, I would put it off to the side and test the rest of them. Typically ram is in pairs and can go bad in pairs. I'd double check that it is all ok then just buy a replacement ram stick. You can get this online or by going into your local hardware store (even best buy *sigh*). I recommend taking the bad stick of ram into the store to get the correct type.

∙ 11y agoYour R.A.M. is bad. If you contact dell they should send you new R.A.M. or you can get it from amazon for very cheap ($20-$75 depending on the type and size.)
