fahcore is a program running on your computer that basically does some scientific work for the biologists at Stanford uni. Makes your computer work with other computers thus making a big supercomputer completing biological test.

To remove you need to -

Check msconfig: Services and startup

Check services.msc

Disable or set priority

Or delete from registry...

You get it from cracked games etc so it can appear to a virus or spyware - but its not just some do-gooder cracker trying to save the world from cancer but also killing PC's.
