A jet is a type of engine on an airplane. Some airplanes have propellers - those without propellers have jet engines. Airplanes with jet engines are faster than airplanes with propellers. Often airplanes with jet engines are referred to as "jets."
Fastest unmanned aircraft: NASA X-43 (Mach 9.8)
Experimental aircraft featuring Scramjet technology.
Fastest manned aircraft: North American X-15 (Mach 6.72)
Experimental rocket powered aircraft developed for USAF, NASA and USN. 3 were built and were retired in 1968.

A reconnaissance aircraft used by USAF and NASA. Was in use from 1964 to 1998.
Fastest passenger aeroplane: Concorde (Mach 2.05)
Joint venture between France and the UK, the first Concorde was flown in 1969. It saw active service from 1976 onwards, before retirement in 2003.
Fastest propeller powered aeroplane: Tupolev Tu-114 (Mach 0.73)
With the combination of contra-rotating propellers and the most powerful turboprop engine ever made, this aircraft has held the speed record since 1960.
It depends on the distance, but for long distance it is the plane you should go with.
A fast train can be faster than a slow plane. But even a regular plane will be faster than fast train.
Plane
YES much faster!
A plane.
the plane is faster than train.
There are advantages and disadvantages to traveling with an infant on a plane or train. However, traveling on a plane may be best, because planes are generally faster than trains.

No plane is faster than light.
plane
Over a long distance, a few hundred to several thousand miles, the plane is faster. Over a short distance, a few dozen to a few hundred miles, the train might be faster. The train station might be in the center of town, the airport is usually several miles away from town. Getting to an airport, going through security, waiting for other planes to take off and land, helps to make the airplane travel slower for shorter distances. Most of the time, plane travel is faster than the train, but, not always. It's a good idea to compare the two for specific distances, say NYC to Boston instead of just thinking planes are always the faster way to travel.
