I've received it many times...it's military travel pay. I just got exactly the amount I expected for my PCS to Idaho recently with this exact numerical explanation.

Most likely its from the govt, if your in the military and you just pcsed then thats what its from.
Its a travel voucher refund from the military!

i believe it would be $1,000 because when the fed buy bonds, that money goes into the economy hence increasing the money supply. Therefore, i believe it increases by $1,000. I am not 100% sure.
