Freedom of choice is :that you can make the decision to do whatever you want. even if it is a bad decision you may be punished for it but you still had the freedom to make that choice. Its what you can control. No one can tell you if your choice was good or bad. You have the ability to detect a plan your way, in any circumstance.
Short answer? No! our 'choice' is governed by rules and regulations which is a framework built up to limit and control the amount of 'choice' we actually have...
our Biological choices are constantly coming into conflict with our societal values and morals and rules.
Firstly, what do we think 'freedom of choice' is? A lot of people consider that because 'lower' animals are not aware of themselves as individuals that they act only from an 'instinctual' drive that makes them helplessly what they are... WE as humans on the other hand, are above and somehow removed enough from nature's influence to rule our responses. We remember past events, project future consequences, and have the command of our own thoughts and the actions upon which we 'decide' to undertake. But ask yourself this: Do you decide what you like the taste of?Do you really choose what attracts and repels you?Perhaps we respond to the world in accordance with our Biology, our innate needs, fears and our strong tribal instincts (which really comes back down to 'need') An athlete who gets up at 6 in the morning and runs because they want to RUN, we praise for having strong will, focus and determination. Ask them to learn the Tuba. We don't choose WHAT we are drawn to. 'Preference' happens TO us. Perhaps, just perhaps, we are all governed by our instincts just like the other animals. We just have a bigger brain. These instincts worked well for us when we were hunter-gatherers, now in a civilization of increased comforts our instincts drive our thinking mind to conjure all manner of illusions like 'free will', which paradoxically, is also instinct driven. --------------------------------------------------------------
Having choices is the basis of all freedom; if you cannot choose, then you are being made to do something. Whether you like it or not, you do not have a choice and thereby aren't free to change the situation.

Both freedom and knowledge are important in human acts. However, having knowledge can sometimes lead to more informed decisions and help guide one's actions towards positive outcomes. In some cases, having the freedom to make choices can also lead to acquiring knowledge through experience. It is ideal to have a balance of both freedom and knowledge in human acts.
