It is used to check purity of gas. percentage of a gas in a mixed gas. I have seen it in Producer gas plant . It is used here to check % CO, %O2 in the gas . This total automated Gas Chromatograph gives Graphical Output to the PLC or Script chart Recorder in a plant.

Gas-liquid chromatography is an analytical tools for separation and identified composition of the mixture. It use gas as the carrier of the liquid sample through a stationary phase. Different substances had different diffusion rate and can separated out from each other by manipulating travel medium and temperature.
