What is hibernating? |
[Edit] |
Answer
''Hibernate'' is a power management setting; so is ''Standby.'' These settings are used to reduce power consumption.
Use ''Standby'' if you need to be away from your computer for a short time.
Use ''Hibernate'' if you will be gone for a long time or overnight. Hibernation uses less power than standby.
''Hibernation'' will turn off your computer, but when you restart it, all of the programs, files and/or documents that were open when you turned off your computer will still be open on your desktop.
Read you computer manual or help file to learn more about how to use your Power Management options.
