The management of staff. It would cover the general management of staff and looking after the staff relations issues, like salaries, working conditions, employment conditions, employee welfare issues etc. It could also be part of Project Management. Doing things like assigning the correctly qualified staff or the correct numbers of staff to do a particular task or project. In a company with flexible working arrangements or a variety of types of work or where the amount of work to do changes, to efficiently use the staff, they need to be managed correctly. They are a resource in a business.
