What is hyperspace?

[Edit]

Answer

Hyperspace is a science fiction term that usually means something like a different part of space... maybe even a different dimension that you can get to with a spaceship. It is usually used by authors to explain "faster than light" travel (commonly known in the Sci-Fi community as FTL). As far as we know, hyperspace doesn't exist in the real world, although some authors have come up with some great explanations of it. Usually Science Fiction is based on scientific possibilities, even if they are incredibly unlikely, so a future discovery of something like hyperspace isn't completely out of the question. Just unlikely. :)
