ibuprofen is one of many drugs classified as Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs relieve both pain and inflammation (swelling that often makes pain worse in cases like Arthritis, broken or cracked bones, joint or muscle injury, or allergic reaction). They also work very well to bring down a fever. Ibuprofen is a very good choice for fever or mild to moderate pain - that means pain that is pretty bad, but you can still stand it, and are not doubled over or screaming (that would be called "severe" pain). The most usual side effect is heartburn, so take ibuprofen with food. You can get this drug over the counter by looking for the brand names Advil and Motrin - the generic "store brand" of ibuprofen will be exactly the same medication without the inflated price.
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) that is used to reduce pain. It's chemical formula is C13H18O2.

Ibuprofen is a medication that is often used for relieving pain, fever, and inflammation. In addition to relieving general pain (such as a headache), the medicine may be used to treat arthritis symptoms, painful menstrual periods, and pain following a procedure, among other things. A few off-label uses of ibuprofen include relieving symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, and gout. I have a small feeling you don't know what those are but I if you need to know I can tell you.
