The only symbol used by the Illuminati was the 'Owl of Minerva' from Greek mythology; an owl perched on an open book. A symbol representing the scholars who formed the organization.

The Illuminati was an organization (1776-1785) of enlightened intellectuals whose goal was the overthrow of an oppressive monarchy and the control of civil authorities by the Roman Catholic Church. They were very unsuccessful in their endeavor because that monarch successfully destroyed the organization and imprisoned their leadership.

Today, anything a conspiracy theorist chooses to dream up. This includes the masonic eye-in-the-pyramid on the back of money.

Since around 1785 (when they broke up), the (real) Illuminati group has been fictional. It exists only in the imagination of conspiracy theorists. It is a sort of strawman or scapegoat organization. Anyone the Conspiracy Theorists dislike or envy, they declare, on no evidence of course, that they are in the Illuminati. No one has ever, in modern times, been proven to be an Illuminatus in a court of law.

The Illuminati allowed Masons to join. That has lead to confusion, as some people think it was a Masonic organization, that Masonic signs are Illuminati signs, and that since Masons still exist, Illuminati do.

The Illuminati was an organization (1776-1785) of enlightened intellectuals whose goal was the overthrow of an oppressive European monarchy and the control of civil authorities by the Roman Catholic Church. They were very unsuccessful in their endeavor because that monarch successfully destroyed the organization and imprisoned many of them.

Since the end of the real Illuminati in the eighteenth century, writers of fantasy and fiction have used the name or similar names to create an unlimited variety of stories. The only Illuminati that exists today is the invention of writers and bloggers who enjoy feeding the imaginations of paranoid and naive individuals. Writers can invent any symbol or symbolic meaning, creating fiction is their job.

Ther's only one known Illuminati symbol: the owl of Minerva. That perhaps represented wisdom, perhaps knowledge or intellect. Anything else is purely speculative. Since the Illuminati are no longer around, we just can't get much confirmation.

There is no "Illuminati symbol." The only image or symbol factually associated with the Illuminati was the Owl of Minerva. If you are referring to all the other clap-trap the deluded paranoids and bunco artists of the world try to link to the long dead organization, you would have to be far more specific. Oh, and leave the Illuminati out of it for the sake of reality.
