Engineering students also have to pass some courses about sociology. Its of much importance because engineering students have to deal with the society especially for those who work in the fields of civil engineering. They have to understand society needs and design their plans to solve problems of destitutes or society needs. Engineers having knowledge about sociology would have knowledge of the structure of organisations and interpersonal relationships that would help him/her develop a successful carrier.

∙ 14y agosociology deals with social ,moral and human values. For engineer who has relation with not only machines but also have relation with operaters of the machines. Therefore it is very important to understand their problems,grivances ,welfare and security from all point of view. When human beings are well ared by their bosses than automatically out put of production will increasse,otherwise frausted labourers can not give their 100 % attention and devotion.
