It's a burger which contains meat (or soy) raised and grown under certified organic standards. Some standards include the use of only organically grown feed or grazing on organically grown pasturelands and the prohibition of growth hormones and antibiotic use. An organic burger is a burger that contains carbon. That is the definition of organic. Look it up. Anything that contains carbon is organic. That includes every burger ever made.

Ground beef (Hamburger) in itself is neither organic nor inorganic; it depends on how the cows were raised. Organically raised cows are NOT given rGBH or other hormones or large amounts of antibiotics; their feed does not contain GMOs or synthetic chemicals.

Another way to classify hamburger is by how the cow was raised overall:

Grass-fed beef - The cows were allowed to graze in fields on the farm and eat grass. If they were not given rGBH or other hormones, the hamburger is organic.

Grain-fed beef - Cows are allowed to graze in fields, but are also fed grains. If the grain is non-GMO and they are not given rGBH or other hormones, the hamburger is organic.

"Factory farmed" beef - Cows are raised in close quarters and they are never allowed to graze in fields. Usually, they are given rGBH or other hormones and often antibiotics are given for disease. This hamburger is NEVER organic.

In most grocery stores, it is safe to assume that beef is not organic unless it is specifically labeled as "100% organic."
